Rocketry Camp, Summer 2025
The Ascension Classical Academy held its first Rocketry Camp this past Summer!
Students from ages 8 to 11 built and painted their own rockets over three mornings. While waiting for glue or paint to dry, students learned about how real rockets worked from a rocket engineer from SpaceX.
After the rockets were built, the students gathered at a later date to launch their creation three times up to 1300 feet high! We are happy to report that all of the rockets were recovered, and none of them sustained irreparable damage. The students had great fun, and there are rumors that we will have another rocketry camp next year as well.
